Below are some good leveling diablo 3 wizard skill builds that I would suggest to use. They are intended to help you maximize your damage, reduce deaths and be able to level your wizard as fast as possible. At the end there is also a few level 60 wizard builds that I find to be good. Make sure you have “Elective Mode” enabled in Diablo’s settings so that you can place any ability in any slot you wish.


Wizard Skill Build Levels 1-9

This Build uses Magic Missle as the signature spell, Ray of Frost to slow down enemies while doing good damage to them and a Frost Nova to get yourself out of sticky situations and Arcane Orb for some extra AoE damage.

Wizard Skill Build Levels 10-19

Here you finally get to start using Electrocute as your signature spell. You will still use Ray of Frost to slow and damage enemies and you now put the Snow Blast Rune on it to increase its damage. Frost Nova to freeze targets in place, Arcane Orb for good AoE damage. Diamond Skin as your primary defensive to keep yourself alive. Slow Time to slow enemies, and later it will increase the damage you do to them by 20%. You finally get to pick up your first useful passive Glass Cannon for a 15% damage boost.

Wizard Skill Build Levels 20-29

The major differences in this skill build is that you now get to pick up Disintegrate and throw the Convergence rune on it to hit more enemies. Pick up Teleport with Safe Passage as a defensive to get away from mobs. Add Time Warp to your Slow Time to add 20% damage bonus to the enemies caught in your bubble. The Passive skill Prodigy will help you with Arcane Power Regeneration from using Electrocute.

Wizard Skill Build Levels 30-39

In this build the major upgrades is Archon which will give you significant damage boost on demand (IE during boss fight) and you also obtain another passive ability Astral Presence which will increase your Arcane Power pool and regeneration.

Not a lot of changes here. Electrocute will now give 1 extra Arcane Power for every enemy it hits. Archon has a reduced cooldown.

Disintegrate now increases its damage over time with the Intensify rune. At this point having more defensive is a really good idea so Slow Time with Time Warp is added back to the wizard build.

Electrocute x 5 activates Arcane Dynamo, then Meteor for an extra 75% damage. Disintegrate will do good damage and wider beam to hit more targets. You can Teleport every 2 seconds for plently of escapes, 3 extra Mirror Images so that you can get out of sticky situations. Archon and improved archon for maximum damage.

Passsive skill Glass Cannon, well it makes you a glass cannon – increasing your damage by 15% with 15% less armor and resistances.

Prodigy will allow you to build up Arcane power quickly by using Electrocute so that you can drop more Meteors.

Arcane Dynamo will allow you to use meteor for an increased 75% damage to the meteor ability, or any other non-signature spell you wish to use..

If arcane dynamo has a low proc rate then switch Arcane Dyanmo to Astral Presence for the extra arcane power and arcane regeneration like this build:

Maximum Single Target Damage Glass Cannon

Keep familiar up for a 12% damage boost, pop Slow Time with Time Warp rune on the enemy for an extra 20% damage, Magic Weapon with Force Weapon Rune for increased Ray of Frost damage, spawn Hydra for more damage and to apply the fire effect (Don’t use a rune on Hydra, it needs to stay fire).

Glass Cannon boosts your damage by yet another 15%, Conflagration will allow your Hydra’s damage to boost your damage to the enemy by 10% for 3 seconds at a time and Cold Blooded increases your Ray of Frost damage by another 20%.

This build is by far the most damage you can do to a single target (IE Boss).


Frost Kiting and AOE Wizard Build

Needless to say you have many, many slows and AoE spells starting from Ray of Frost with Numb rune for improved slow. Frost Nova to freeze your targets to the ground and Cold Snap rune to reduce the cooldown. Blizzard for AoE damage with Grasping Call rune to also apply 60% slow. Ice Armor with Ice Reflect rune for a 25% chance to create Frost Nova on the attacker and does 75% weapon damage as Cold. Teleport with Fracture Rune.

Passives include Glass Cannon for damage, Prodigy for Arcane Power regeneration and Cold Blooded to increase your Cold damage.
As the saying goes…you can’t kill what you can’t catch.

Well it is now past 8:01am on 5/14/2012, so you should no longer be getting the “unexpected decryption error” when trying to install Diablo 3. However, if you are still getting the unexpected decryption error then you either have corrupted installation files or you need to finish downloading the diablo 3 installation package.

To fix the problem go to where you downloaded your “Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer” folder (which is most likely in C:\users\[your computer username]\Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer or in C:\Program Files\Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer or C:\Program Files(x86)\Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer and see if you have any “.part” files there.

If you do then you need to restart your “Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer-downloader.exe” file. If you don’t remember where you downloaded the “Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer-downloader.exe” file to, but you found your “Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer” folder, then just download the diablo 3 installer from battle.net (or below if you are pre-installing without a battle.net preorder) and then when it ask where to save the files, just point it to the “Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer” folder again and it will resume the download.

In the worst case senario (corrupted installation files) you just need to re-download the installer (preferrably through battle.net) and re-download all the Diablo 3 Setup Files.

Once the download is complete, the Diablo 3 installer will automatically launch the Diablo 3 game installation and the actual setup will begin.

With the much anticipated game of the year created by Blizzard Entertainment, Diablo 3 will soon be released on May 15, 2012. To go along with the game, Steelseries has made a few gaming accessories including a mouse, headset, and mouse mat.

Blizzard announced today that shortly after the release of Diablo 3 they will be adding a Character Profile Interface to their website that will allow you to show off how far you have progressed, number of enemies you’ve killed, playtimes of hardcore heroes, your equipment, skills and much more.

This is essentially a Character “Armory” for the gamers that are familiar with World of Warcraft. I personally like how the interface for the character profiles looks so far. You will be able to see which class the player uses most, their gear setup, progression, artisan levels, fallen hardcore heroes, the skills they use and the attributes are also really well laid out. It even shows the gear that your followers are wearing.

With that much information being readily available about your characters hopefully Blizzard will place some sort of “private” feature to the character profiles if you don’t want your “secret skill build” or “the perfect equipment setup” being shown. From the images it looks like the Battletag requires the numbers at the end, so that may be the privacy feature….I guess we will have to wait to see if the character profiles are searchable without that number.

The following guide gives a brief overview of the Diablo 3 keybinds that are currently known. If you find any extras or if some are missing leave us a comment!

Blizzard also gives us another update about global play stating that players will only be able to play on their designated servers by region until the game goes live in the USA (12:01 PDT) on May 15th. After the launch of Diablo 3 in the America’s players will then be able to participate in Global Play and they may choose to play on any regions servers. Diablo 3 Inferno Tips

IGN recently interviewed Diablo 3 developer Jay Wilson on how to survive Inferno difficulty in Diablo 3.

Summary of the Diablo 3 Inferno Tips:

• 1. Inferno will be soloable, assuming you are properly geared and your skill level is adequate.
• 2. Inferno’s difficulty increases when you join a group, but the additional skilled players outweighs the increase in difficulty
• 3. Inferno will require large single target DPS in order to kill bosses, champions, rares and elites
• 4. While Area of Effect (AoE) abilities will still be helpful, you will not be able to AoE every monster pack down
• 5. You will need to use defensive abilities in order to stay alive, Jay Wilson recommends 2 defensive abilities: 1 to keep yourself alive and one to help keep your group alive
• Some inferno mobs will create walls in order to keep you from kiting them around

Jay Wilson also says that each act of Inferno will have its own tier loot and the difficulty of Inferno will increase as you progress through the Acts.

How difficult do you believe Inferno will be? Will it only require you to be geared out or will it rely more heavily on skill?

Blizzard states the delay in the release of the RMAH is to ensure that it is bug free before opening it up, however I’d speculate that it is also to allow for some time for players to find out what items and gold are worth in the game before they start throwing up random items for some random amount of cash.

According to the official RMAH FAQ the cost of selling items has been reduced to $1.00 for items (it was originally going to be $1.25 per item) and Blizzard’s cut for selling commodities such as gold and any “stackable” resources, such as crafting materials, will be 15% of the commodity sell price. Blizzard also announced that there will be no fee to list your items in the auction house, so you will only be charged a fee if the item actually sells.

Now, on top of the auction house fees, which is $1.00 USD for selling weapons/gear or 15% for commodities, Blizzard will also be charging an EXTRA 15% if you want to cash out the money you made into your Paypal Account instead of keeping the money in your Battle.net account. The money deposited into the Battle.net account can only be used to purchase Blizzard games, but if you choose to cash out the earnings into your paypal account you’re obviously free to do anything you want with the money you made.

It is also important to note that you must chose if it will go into your Battle.net account or into your paypal account when the auction is created, and not after it is sold.

Thus if you list a weapon in the RMAH for $5.00 Blizzard will charge $1.00 when the weapon sells for a total of $4.00 profit. Now if you chose to have the money to be deposited in your Battle.net account, then you will receive the full $4.00 profit. However, if you chose to have the money cashed out to your paypal account, then another 15% will be deducted from your profits and thus only $3.40 will be cashed out into your paypal account.

If you sold a stack of commodities or gold for $5.00 then Blizzard will take 15% of the sell price, giving you $4.25 profit into your Battle.net account. However, if you chose for it to go into your paypal account then Blizzard will charge another 15% for a total profit of $3.61 being deposited into your paypal account.

What’s the take home message? Even though Blizzard’s fees seem to be pretty hefty at first sight, the amount of profit you can make from cashing out in the RMAH is still relatively good.

Blizzard released a new auction house FAQ on the battle.net website. The new FAQ has been updated with the RMAH fees listed by region and transaction type.

Diablo 3 System Requirements

Diablo 3 doesn’t have very large CPU, memory or graphics card requirements, at the bare minimum Blizzard asks for 1GB of RAM, a GeForce 7800GT (which came out in 2006) and does not require a very fast processor. With that being said the game does take up 12 GB of hard disk space, which is a decent amount of space, but nothing abnormal for an MMO of this quality.

Most computers bought within the past 4 years will have absolutely no problem playing this game on low to medium settings. If your computer is newer (within the past 2 years or so) your computer should be able to run the game on medium
to max settings depending on what parts are acutally inside the PC.
